Damage is still being assessed after flooding caused major problems for people throughout Cobourg and Port Hope on June 23, 2017.
In Port Hope torrential rains washed out roads and caused flooding to numerous homes and businesses including the Ruth Clarke Activity Centre for Seniors which is closed until further notice.
Areas of Baulch Road were closed due to the water eroding the roadway.
County Road 2 between Cobourg and Port Hope was no better with water flooding the area in front of one business and flooding fields.
The east end of Cobourg was closed along County Road 2 and the interesection of Elgin Street and Division Street was closed after numerous cars were stalled out after trying to drive through the water.
